How to fix butane lighter that won’t light?

If your butane lighter isn’t lighting, there could be several reasons for the issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem:

1. Check Butane Level: Make sure there is enough butane fuel in the lighter. If the fuel level is low, the lighter may not produce a flame. Refill the lighter with high-quality butane fuel.
2. Purge Air from the Tank: Sometimes, air can get trapped in the butane tank, preventing proper fuel flow. To release air, turn the lighter upside down and press the refill valve with a small screwdriver or a similar tool. You may hear a hissing sound as the air escapes. After purging, wait a few seconds and then try to light the lighter again.
